Stamp Show set for new venue
The Strait Stamp Show returns to a new venue from 9:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Guy Cole Event Center, 202 N Blake Ave.
The event features free admission with free stamps for children, door prizes, exhibits, a penny stamp table, dealers to buy and sell stamps, and more. The U.S. Post Office will be on site, too. The Strait Stamp Society hosts the event. With questions, call 360-683-6373.
Register for Reach and Row
Rowers and paddlers can now register for the Reach and Row for Hospice, Sequim Bay Yacht Club’s annual fundraiser for Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, set for Saturday, Sept. 18, on Sequim Bay.
Established in 1991 as a sailboat race, Reach and Row in 2018 was expanded to include a 10-kilometer open water competition in Sequim Bay for anyone with an oar or paddle: rowers, kayakers, canoers, paddleboarders. Those of high school age and older are welcome, as an individual, as a group or as a team.

Friends group’s book sale set for Saturday
The Friends of Sequim Library’s August book sale is scheduled for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Rock Plaza 10131 Old Olympic Highway.
Of interest are 46 volumes of Automobile Quarterly, gardening reference books, sets of vintage classics, CDs and DVDs, a big collection of Jacques & Julia cookbooks and more.
Buyers are encouraged to come early for the best selection. Masks may be required depending on spread of the coronavirus.
Grange moves flea market to September
After having to cancel the Sequim Prairie Grange Flea Market due to COVID-19 and unhealthy air quality, organizers say they are trying again from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at 290 Macleay Road. Spaces are still available both inside and outside at $20 per table with tables supplied. Contact Philomena Lund at 360-477-4742 to make a reservation and/or with questions.
Preschool has open enrollment
Faith Lutheran Preschool in Sequim is currently enrolling students for the 2021-2022 school year. Faith Lutheran offers programs for children ages 3-5.
