League cancels second skills assessment

Some youths looking to play for Sequim Little League teams in 2024 will need to attend the skills assessment set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at James Standard Park, 124 W. Silberhorn Road.

A second skills assessment scheduled for Feb. 10 has been canceled, league officials said.

Teams for players aged 7-12 need to be assessed in order for minor and major division drafting and “to ensure the lower divisions are placed on a team where they will be the most [successful] to build confidence,” league representatives said.
