Wear & Share event

Clothing for men, women and children will be available for free at the annual Wear & Share event set for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 22-23 at the Cultural Hall at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 815 W. Washington St.

Clothing items are new or gently used and include coats, shoes and accessories. Bring your own bags to fill.

Friday hours are 6-8 p.m. and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone intending to use the items for anything other than personal use are asked to attend after noon on Saturday.

Faith news

The Rev. Julia McKenna-Blessing Nuffer will present a message titled “The Journey” when she speaks at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3.

Known as “Rev. Julia,” she will explore the gifts of being alive.

Rev. Julia is an inter-denominational minister, ordained 39 years ago. She was consecrated a Kahu (spiritual shepherd) at the Westminster Abbey of the Pacific, Kawaiaha’o Church, where she often officiated and was a supply pastor for the United Church of Christ Conference statewide. Additionally, she founded The Ministry for Divine Harmony and Aloha Spirit Ministries.

One can attend the service either in-person or via Zoom.
