Attendees of the 2024 Unity of Effort event in Sequim get a look inside an MH-47G Chinook, a U.S. Army twin-engined, tandem rotor helicopter. This year’s free event, hosted by Security Services Northwest, takes place Saturday, Aug. 9.

For more than 20 years, Security Services Northwest has hosted the annual Unity of Effort, a free, family-friendly community celebration to honor and recognize first responders, law enforcement and security personnel. The tradition continues on Saturday, Aug. 9 with Unity of Effort 2025.

The event will place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Security Services Northwest, 250 Center Park Way.

There is parking on site, and overflow parking will be available across the street at Key Bank, 120 N. Dunlap Ave.

The celebration features helicopters, police K9 demonstrations, vendors, community booths, children’s activities, live music, food for purchase and more. Attendees are asked not to bring pets.

Representatives from law enforcement, and first responder and military groups will have displays and vehicles for the public to view.
