Jane Peoples and Wanda Synestevdt celebrate a first-place finish at the 2017 Whine & Roses tournament, held Sept. 11-12 at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course. “It’s been going on for about 20 years and has gotten bigger and better every year,” Donna MacLean, past captain of the Cedars at Dungeness Women’s Golf Association, said. “It was great weather and a lot of fun to golf enjoy dinner and lunches together with women from all over Washington and guests from Colorado and Utah.” The event included putting contests, wine and cheese tasting, raffles along with prize money for three divisions of golfing skills. The association donates a couple of thousand dollars to community groups every year.
