A new princess joins the 2018 Irrigation Festival Royalty Court for the remainder of the festival year.

Liliana Williams was crowned Princess on May 4 at the Crazy Daze Breakfast at Sunland Golf & Country Club.

“I’m really excited to represent the community,” she said.

Deon Kapetan, Irrigation Festival director, announced at Crazy Daze that Princess Eden Batson departed from the Court last week to focus on her academics.

“It’s really important for us to support these young ladies and we support (Eden) wanting to purse her academics,” Kapetan said in an interview.

“We’re proud of (Liliana) for stepping in for the festival.”

Kapetan said the Festival announced Batson’s departure on May 3 on the Sequim Irrigation Festival Facebook page and Williams first official day as princess started when she was crowned last Friday.

Williams’ said she has looked up to Royalty her whole life with six members of her family who were previous Royalty and they inspired her to try out this year. Her platform is bullying in school and she enjoys the outdoors as well as spending time with her friends and family.
