Owens, Baros named Soroptimist Girls of the Month for Nov., Dec.

Soroptimist International of Sequim named Nevaeh Owens as the organization’s November Girl of the Month and Olivia Baros as its December Girl of the Month.

Nevaeh Owens has been on honor roll since the sixth grade, and she plays for the Sequim High School varsity basketball team and has lettered in both basketball and softball. Veterinarian science is her favorite class, and she hopes to attend Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian.

Olivia Baros is on Sequim’s honor roll with a 4.0 and has been on the soccer team and is now continuing a second year on the basketball team. Baros has a great love of music and is part of the Vocal Ensemble and volunteers as choir officer and with the American Sign Language Club. She wants to attend Peninsula College and then transfer to Washington State University to focus on American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter studies as well as a teaching career.
