‘Hunger Games’ discussion set

“The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins will be discussed at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Copies of “The Hunger Games” are available in various formats, including regular print, large print, audiobook on CD, Playaway and downloadable e-book; they can be requested online by visiting the library catalog at www.nols.org.

Holden discusses canoe journeys

Hear stories of the canoe journeys of the Salish Sea with Marlin Holden, a member of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and canoe skipper, at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the Port Townsend Public Library, 1220 Lawrence St. Holden will share his stories about his experiences on the canoe journey and how it is strengthening the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s culture. The photography and objects on display through Feb. 17, 2017, are made possible by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and tribal elder Celeste Dybeck and her husband Don. The art show is in partnership with the Northwind Arts Center.

Trinity craft fair on tap

More than 40 local crafters will offer their handiwork at the Christmas Lane Fair from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. Chili, soup and pie will be available at the Holly Daze Cafe. There also will be a baked goods table. Proceeds help finance the church’s local mission projects. PT holds arts/crafts fair

Port Townsend Community Center, 620 Tyler St., will be the site for a juried arts and crafts fair from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Nov. 25-26. The 26th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair displays fine quality handmade year-round craftwork from Northwest artists. Fiddlers gather at grange

On Saturday, Nov. 12, the Washington Old Time Fiddlers will be meeting at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, Sequim. There will be fiddle lessons in the morning, a business meeting at 11 a.m., open jamming from noon-1:30 p.m. and a performance by members from 1:30-3:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.

The WOTFA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and perpetuating the tradition of old-time fiddle music and associated arts.

Concert in PA
