City crews will begin work on the Fourth Avenue water main replacement project on Monday, May 5. The project is expected to take four to five weeks to complete.
The work will be performed on Fourth Avenue from Washington Street to Cedar Street and will generally take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Night work may take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Residents can expect delays, localized closures and detours during work hours. Resident access will be provided; however, residents are encouraged to heed flaggers, cones, and construction signage, and to be cognizant of large construction equipment as well as trucks and their backup alarms.
The work will include the replacement of the water main, installation of a new fire hydrant, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) curb ramp improvements, pavement repair, and other associated work. Earthwork Solutions, Lakeside Industries, Rainbow Sweepers, and Mikey’s Concrete Services will perform the work.
