Mary Ann Merrill, 67, died of cancer on January 12, 2015

Mary enjoyed traveling to foreign countries. One of

her favorite years was spent in Salzburg, Austria, while she was a student at University of Portland.

After graduation, Mary was a French and German teacher, then decided to go back to school to become a dental hygienist.

She worked in Olympia, Tacoma, and Gig Harbor.

Mary was a gentle spirit who loved holidays, shop- ping, collecting things, going out to eat, and seeing movies. She was sharp with trivia.

Mary was involved in many activities at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.

After her cancer diagnosis, Mary moved to Sequim, Washington to be close to family who could help her.

She made lots of dear friends through her cancer support group, and had a wonderful last year.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, and is survived by her mother, two brothers and their wives, a nephew and niece and their families.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on February 21, 2015, at 2 P.M. in the fellowship hall at Faith Lu- theran Church, 384 W. Cedar St., Sequim.
