The Wolves are ready to bowl.
Sequim won two of three Olympic League matches to close out the regular season as they prep for the Olympic League sub-district tourney set for Thursday, Jan. 19 at Silverdale’s All-Star Lanes.
With undefeated powerhouse Klahhowya (10-0) locking up a district berth by winning the Olympic League, Sequim will battle Bremerton, North Mason and brand-new squad Port Angeles for the two remaining district berths.
The league will also advance six individuals not on qualifying teams to districts.
Sequim coach Randy Perry said it will be a tough road to districts, with Port Angeles consistently bowling games of 620-725, but Bremerton, North Mason and the Wolves have somewhat similar game scores for the final district berth.
Morgan Kayser bowled her top single game score of the season (187) on Jan. 12. SHe’ll be joined at the league tourney by teammates Nikoline Updike, Jovi Weller, Kimberly Heintz, Tilly Lundstrom and alternate Skylar Krzyworz.
The Wolves finished the campaign at 4-7, rebounding from a 5-2 loss to Port Angeles on Jan. 9 with 7-0 sweeps of Olympic on the road (Jan. 10) and at home (Jan. 12) to close out the season.
Top teams and individuals advance to the West Central District tourney on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Paradise Lanes in Tacoma.
