Hirschfeld gets second ace

Marine Hirschfeld of Sequim sank her second lifetime hole-in-one last week at The Cedars at Dungeness.

Hirschfeld used a 7 wood to drive the 127-yard hole No. 4.

Lavender golf tourney set

SkyRidge Golf Course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway, hosts its 10th-annual Lavender Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 18.

The two-person, scramble-format tourney kicks off with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Cost is $40 per player and includes green fees, range balls, KP and long putt contests and a barbecue burger lunch following play. Carts are $15 per seat and extra $10 honey pots are available.

Wolf Pack football, cheer camps on tap

The Sequim Wolf Pack organization hosts a football and cheerleading camp (ages 6-13) from 5-6:30 p.m. July 14-16 at the Sequim High School fields near Fir Street.

Cost is $30; register the day of the camp.

Shorts and sneakers required.

Registration for the Sequim Wolf Pack fall season also can be done at the camp.

Youth soccer camp slated for August

The Port Angeles Youth Soccer Club hosts a youth soccer camp Aug. 3-7.

The camp for players of ages 6-7 runs from 9-10:45 a.m. and costs $35, while the camp for ages 8-14 runs 9 a.m.-

2 p.m. and costs $99.

The camp is at the Peninsula College soccer fields, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Slowpitch league starts soon

Port Angeles Parks & Recreation’s adult coed slowpitch season starts the week of July 20. Each team play 12 games in the six-week season.

Costs include a sponsor fee of $415 plus individual player fees. Fees need to be turned in by July 14.

Team packets are available at the Parks & Recreation office, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. There also is a “free agent” list for players looking to get on a team.
