Sun Fun Color Run slated for March 6

Registration remains open for the City of Sequim’s Sun Fun Color Run, set for Saturday, March 6, at Carrie Blake Community Park.

The event has 5k and 1k races, as well as a virtual option.

The 5k run/walk is set for 9 a.m. and the 1k is at 1 p.m.; virtual runners/walker can participate on their own time.

Courses are an out-and-back on the Olympic Discovery Trail for the 5k, and around Carrie Blake Community Park for the 1k.

The 5k is timed and includes five colors and eight color blast stations; the 1k is not timed, and includes three colors and three blast stations.

Cost is $35 for the 5k, $15 for the 1k and $30 for the virtual run through Sunday, Feb. 28; prices increase on March 1.

Fee includes a Sun Fun Color Run T-shirt and run buff, finisher medal, race bib, sunglasses from Rudd Orthodontics, and starting line color blast bag with various colors.

Virtual packets will be available for pick up the first week of March; registrations will receive an email with packet pick-up details.
