What’s better than a playoff berth? Try three playoff wins. Sequim Wolf Pack’s trio of squads — prep, junior varsity and varsity — are advancing to North Olympic Youth Football League playoff games, set for Nov. 2 at Port Angeles’ Civic Field.

“I’m amazed how our players continue to get better and better each day of practice,” varsity team coach Brian Savage said. “We have been telling our players all year, ‘We aren’t playing, you are, so you have to get this done,’ and they have.”

“We’re excited and honored be in the playoffs,” added junior varsity coach Kevin Kapetan.

Sequim squads play at Port Angeles on Saturday, with winning teams advancing to championship games on Nov. 9 at Sequim High School’s football stadium.

“The boys are coming together at the right time and they can go all the way,” Sequim prep team coach Jerry Mote said.
