Art show in Port Townsend and Holocaust novel discussed at library.

Art show in P.T.

Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St., Port Townsend, presents “Alchemy of the Abstract VII” from June 5-29. It’s the latest in Northwind’s biannual, juried exhibitions of abstracted and non-representational art. This show is juried by Michael McCollum, a Sequim artist with many years of teaching, jurying and creating his own intriguing art. He will give a talk about his jurying process at Northwind at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 7.

Holocaust novel topic of library discussion

“Sarah’s Key” by Tatiana De Rosnay will be discussed at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. The novel fictionalizes the 1942 Paris roundups and deportations, in which thousands of Jewish families were arrested, held outside the city and then transported to Auschwitz. Copies of “Sarah’s Key” are available at the Sequim Library in various formats. Request them online at www.nols.org.
