Story slam at Studio Bob
The story slam is back at Studio Bob, 118 1/2 E. Front St. in Port Angeles, on Friday, March 28 at 7 pm.
The theme for the evening is “It’s Time.” The event will be hosted by Nessa Goldman.
Organizers will be looking for 10 storytellers from the audience to share a five-minute true, personal story on the theme.
Storytellers are judged by the audience, but the event is all in the spirit of sharing. The idea is that tellers prepare their best stories, and the winners will go on to participate in a future Grand Slam storytelling event. Audience members can also participate anonymously, or just enjoy the tales of the evening.
A total of 10 storytellers will be selected. If you are interested in telling, or have been thinking about telling and would like a little more guidance, contact outloudstoryslam@gmail.com.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and are available online at outloudstoryslam.com. If seats remain, tickets will be sold at the door for $15, cash and cards accepted.

Trashion Fashion
The Sequim Arts Commission (SAC), in partnership with the Sequim Irrigation Festival Trashion Show, will offer a free “Trashion Fashion” workshop led by local fashion artisans and creative reuse mavens Libby Ballard and Cherry Bibler.
The workshop will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 at the Guy Cole Event Center, located at 202 N. Blake Ave.
Creative reuse materials such as fabric scraps, non-recyclable plastics, and reusable sewing notions along with tools and inspiration will be provided. Already working on a trashion fashion project? Feel free to bring your design and supplies and use the workshop space and tools to finalize your own unique trashion fashion.
Stop by the workshop to receive advice or to learn more about upcycling and reusing non-traditional materials to create a wearable masterpiece.
