Michael Jennings, 17, is an 11th grade student at Sequim High School and a standout member of the Teen Room at the Boys & Girls Club, where he’s been actively involved for the past 18 months. Michael is the kind of person you can always count on, whether it’s helping to clean up after dinner, lending a hand with activity setup, or simply being a positive presence in the room.
Michael brings energy and enthusiasm to everything he does. He enjoys participating in karaoke, dance parties, cooking, and art — and recently added tie-dye T-shirt making to his list of creative talents. A regular at Teen Night, he’s always excited to try something new. One of his favorite recent activities was learning how to make his own individual sourdough pizza from scratch.
Friendly and outgoing, Michael makes connections easily and spreads joy wherever he goes. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he’s always ready to make new friends and bring people together. Michael is a familiar face at Club community events like Souper Saturday, the McDonald’s Takeover, and other local Boys & Girls Club fundraisers, where he shows up with a smile and a willingness to support.
Michael also bowls with the Special Olympics team, the Orcas, and is proud of his personal best game — an impressive 137. When he’s not at the Club or competing with his team, he enjoys spending time with his sister, his dog, and his cat. He also has a growing interest in power tools and emergency service vehicles.
Michael’s positivity and willingness to jump into every opportunity make him a valued part of the Boys & Girls Club family — and a true inspiration to those around him.
