Ex-Wolf of the Week: Danielle Barrow

The Gazette checks in on Danielle Barrow, a 2015 SHS grad, who swims for Chapman University in California.

Danielle Barrow, a 2015 graduate of Sequim High School, now swims for the Chapman University Panthers in Orange, Calif.

She set season bests in the 100-yard butterfly, 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke at the Oct. 17 Bulldog Pentathlon in Redlands, Calif., in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle against California Lutheran on Nov. 7 and the 1,650 freestyle against Biola on Dec. 5.

Most recently, Barrow competed against La Verne and Mills on Jan. 16, placing seventh in the 50 freestyle (29.44) and third with Chapman’s B 400 freestyle relay team.

Barrow is a freshman with an Integrated Educational Studies major at Chapman.

While in Sequim, Barrow twice earned berths to the state 2A meet, placing 15th in the 200 individual medley as a senior in the 2014-season.

Barrow and the Panthers host Mills on Jan. 16, compete at CalTech on Jan. 23 and at Whittier on Jan. 30.
