This trio, along with teammates Gabriella Hood and senior Rachel McDougall, also helped lead the Sequim girls team to the Olympic League championship. Hood and McDougall were set to compete on May 12 at The Cedars at Dungeness district tournament to earn a spot at state.

Sequim Gazette photos by Matthew Nash Seventh grader River Moxley-Horgan won the high jump on April 22 at a Sequim meet by tying the school’s seventh grade record of 5 feet. “This was an incredible feat considering how new he is to the event,” said Sequim coach Caleb Gentry. “With some more training and improvement in his technique I don’t see any reason he won’t be pushing to break our team record of 5-4.” That was set in 2012 by Thomas Winfield.
